Charity Support
Spread a Smile is here to add some joy where it’s needed most, by visiting some of London’s biggest hospitals, with magicians, artists, singers, poets, face-painters, fairies and therapy dogs.
Annually we visit over 6,000 children aged 0-18 years old who are seriously and terminally ill.
Our visits can lift a child’s spirits – giving them something to look forward to. A whole new positive focus. Our visits, which also include siblings and other family members, help distract a child from pain, treatment and boredom and allow them to experience normal childhood activities.
Here at Thames Air & Water Tech we are very happy to help this amazing charity as they don’t just help children with specific illnesses but anyone that is in need long or short term in Hospital. We have seen their work first hand through personnel experience and we couldn’t think of a better charity to support. To find out more visit Spread a Smile at www.spreadasmile.org
The Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund provides free holidays for very sick children suffering from cancer in their coastal lodge, sited on a Hampshire holiday park and arranges trips to Disneyland Paris for seriously ill children. The charity funds research into childhood cancers, in particular neuroblastoma, provides days out and special gifts for very sick children and raises money to improve children's oncology wards. We are grateful to Thames Air and Water Tech for providing us with a website where there is more information on our work and ways in which you can get involved and support us or refer a child in need.
